[Speakers] InfiniBand and Linux

Hi Steve,

Yes the "Marketing" title does tend to turn folks off. Indeed on bad
mornings it sometimes frightens me when I realize I have to go into work and
use a Windows platform (but I know I'm not fully assimilated into the dark
side because I still have a Linux box on my desk and run only Linux at
home).

In any case either solution you suggest is possible. One option is
to have one of our senior architects, Diego Crupnicoff, present. He is
intimately involved with both the hardware and driver development. Another
alternative is to have one of the driver developers from Intel present. Let
me know which you would prefer and I can try to arrange this.

	KD

Hi Kevin!

I'd be interested in seeing this -- I'm extremely interested in
InfiniBand myself.

We'd need to be careful, though -- people tend to get eaten alive when
presenting as vendors at SVLUG. I see that your own background is
technical rather than marketing, but if we say "VP of Marketing" on the
talk description folks will stay away in droves. The alternatives
include finding a low-level device driver or hardware engineer who can
present, or finding some other umbrella to describe you under. Have you
published any open-source InfiniBand work yourself, or contributed code
to the Sourceforge project, for instance? That would be useful.

Right now the next open slot isn't until December, so there's plenty of
time to work out a solution.

Steve
