Hi Steve.

Steve Okay here. We've met and talked before during your
visits/presentation to BayLISA.

Sorry about the late date of this request, but I was wondering if I
could get a few minutes in the program tommorrow to put out a call for
volunteers for a project I'm involved with.

I've spent the last 2 months partially in the US, partially in Laos
working for the Jhai Foundation on their RemoteIT Project, AKA "The
Pedal-Powered Internet".
A few background links:

We made some good progress on our last trip to Laos including an
end-to-end test on site proving that the network design is valid and
workable using Linux-based laptops and 802.11 networking equipment.
Unfortunately, we ran into some problems and were not able to
completely pull it off, but know the problems can be conquered by the
Linux Community in the Bay Area.

If you can squeeze me in, I'd like about 10 minutes to briefly
pitch our Call For Volunteers to the attendees at the meeting,
beginning or end, whatever you have time for.

We need experts with Bootloader, Kernel driver, Distribution Development
and VOIP/Linux Telephony experience.

This is a very cool project for some really wonderful people and is the
sort of thing that only Linux and Open Source can accomplish because of
the sustainability requirements.

Thanks for your time,

----Steve
