[Smaug] Custom login screen background for Karmic or Lucid

If you are running the Karmic Koala or Lucid Lynx (alpha) releases, and are bored with the blah login screen background, you can customize it.

The screen background is in 

  /usr/share/images/xsplash/bg_2560x1600.jpg

All you need to do is to create a JPEG image with that exact name and those dimensions, and copy it to that directory (as root). Since that isn't a usual screen aspect ratio, you will want to use gimp to resize and crop the image to those dimensions. A little experimentation will no doubt be in order.
