I am an admitted freshman for this fall at UCSC and am an avid Linux
user (Gentoo).   I got your name from someone who said that you were
active in the UCSC Linux community.   I will be coming for a visit
tomorrow (Sun 29Apr) and was wondering if there were any events that
the LUG was planning for then.
