You'd have a point if there weren't a full version history.

You'd have a point if SCLUG's wiki hadn't, up to that point, lacked
_any_ requirement for authentication of any kind.

Thus my point.

FYI, Jay probably could have dug the prior wiki contents out of its
version history, but said (on the SCLUG list, when I called his
attention to the defacement) that he'd be rebuilding with different
software, instead.
