Fowl! ;-)

It seemed we _were_ using shotgun rules to decide at least where the
meeting was going to be.

I know, I know, a permanent meeting location is a good thing. But
perhaps the group should meet there at least _once_ before deciding
it's permanent?

I've lived in SC for 30 years and never been to Tiny's, so I'm game to
try it out. I want to be cautious about declaring it a permanent
meeting location until then, though. And this isn't just because I
live 5 minutes walk from downtown Santa Cruz, so am 99% more likely
to attend meetings held actually _in_ SC than I am to trudge out to
41st Ave., which has to be one of the ugliest streets in the entire
county.

Phil (who loves LA more than Santa Cruz, and the fact that 41st
Ave. looks like much of LA may have something to do with liking
Tiny's) may not be your typical SC geek; the comment about offending
vegetarian olfactory organs is an important one in a town that has
such a high vegetable population. Now, if it were held at Ye Olde
Socialist Hall and we'd risk offending Republicans, I could get over
that pretty quickly.

Hmm ... that sounds suspiciously like Capitola ... CMAUG?

I'll try to remember how to append ... Tiny's is surrounded by a huge
parking lot that will likely be mostly empty because the business's it
supports close before or around 8 pm, so parking will likely never be
a problem there.

I'm not going to promise to attend because I'm such a flake about
these things, and this way it's a pleasant surprise when I actually
_do_ show up. :)
