Hmm, in no special order:

1.  Welcome!
2.  This mailing list was left behind and intact when the group that
    started it dissolved.  So, you are now "joined" to what still
    exists for SMAUG.  (You'll have received your automated welcome
    message from the mailing list software, separately.)
3.  This is certainly one place to post questions.  There are many
    others, and many groups that hold periodic in-person events, too.
