[SMAUG] Bad HD?

Raphael,

I already started the low level hd check with
a new install there. This is a big hd so it
will take several hours before is finished.

I am not sure the "kernel bug" and related
lines have anything to do with the bad sector
in the hd problem.

I would like to give it a few days after the
new install finishes to see if I get the same
error. If I don not see the (freeze) problem again
then it was fixed by the low level format and maybe
the "kernel bug lines" will not show up again.
If i see the problem again or these lines
in the syslog (logcheck will catch it)
then I will send all the information to
the kernel list.

In any case I will let you know of the outcome
of this experiment : )

Thanks
David
