Rixty is looking for a strong server-side Java engineer to develop and
extend our online payment system.  You will be responsible for the back-end
server infrastructure and data modeling that powers our international
payment system. As a big part of a small team, you will you will be expected
to exercise a broad range of engineering skills.
 
Job Requirements:
  * Deep knowledge of Java (4 years experience)
  * Deep knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts
  * Deep knowledge of Web Formats and Protocols:
     o HTTP(s)
     o XML
     o JSON
     o Web Services
  * Experience with Linux/Unix required. Amazon EC2 desirable.
  * Experience with Java web frameworks (preferably Wicket)
  * General knowledge of security & encryption a plus
  * Experience with scalability, caching, and concurrency a plus
  * BS or MS in Computer Science

Rixty uses a Java-based software stack, favoring light-weight open source
components. Our build, test, and deployment processes are fully automated.
