What you will be doing:

 

The UNIX/LINUX Engineer will be primarily providing operational support to
the engineering and architecture teams, deployment teams, as well as remote
customer environments.  The role is multi faceted; He/She will be focused on
troubleshooting complex UNIX/LINUX related issues in end user environments,
providing internal infrastructure support when needed, developing and
managing processes to monitor systems, as well as developing and maintaining
scripts to automate tasks.  

 

What you need to Qualify:

 

*	MUST HAVE: Minimum 3-5 years admin experience including
troubleshooting with CentOS and/or RHEL - No exceptions!
*	MUST HAVE: Minimum 3 years experience developing & maintaining
scripts to automate tasks - No exceptions!
*	MUST HAVE: Minimum 3 years experience UNIX programming experience
using a shell
*	MUST HAVE: Strong well rounded background with DNS, LDAP, SMTP,
SSH/SSL, NTP, package managers, TCP/IP internals, volume managers/file
systems
*	MUST HAVE: Strong and current working knowledge of modern x64-based
server hardware
*	MUST HAVE: Exposure & working knowledge of Virtualization (VMWare
preferred), Open Source Monitoring tools such as Nagios & Cacti and database
experience (Oracle & or MySQL preferred)
*	MUST BE US Citizen with clean background & ability to obtain
Security Clearance paid for by our client - No exceptions 
*	MUST BE able and willing to participate in an on call rotation
*	MUST BE able and willing to travel (25%-50%)
