This position is very Linux-centric, and if it is appropriate for posting to

There is an immediate need for a Sr. Systems Engineer for a successful
start-up in San Francisco. The right candidate would be a hands-on resource
with skills that translate across the systems, from Linux Administration and
shell scripting to front-end scripting (PHP, Python, etc). A comfort level
and experience with Cisco networking is also a plus, and the position
requires experience with MySQL. 

 

This is a building opportunity as well, as the company is growing fast and
would like to have someone with experience in a large scale production
system. This engineer will be a resource for increased monitoring and
automation, and better deployment procedures. 

 

.         Experience with high traffic webservice.

.         Scripting languages, bash (shell), Perl, PHP, Python, etc.

.         Cisco/centos/mysql/java experience.

.         Experience with Nagios preferred.

.         Linux Administration.
