Datacenter System Architect

Position Overview

We are looking for a talented and experienced VMWARE and networking
professional
to join nScaled technical team. As the member of our talented operations
team
you will be responsible to grow, evolve, and improve operations of our
worldwide
multi-tenant data centers.

This position will appeal to someone who is energetic, enjoys broad
responsibilities, communicates well, is ambitious and driven. The position
will
be based in our downtown San Francisco office.

Responsibilities
Work with the CTO and members of operations team to constantly evolve and
improve data center functionality.
Improving monitoring elements of data center operational and primary
infrastructure
Responding to escalations from our client services team
Work with development team to define feature requirements on infrastructure
automation
Position requirements
Knowledge and experience
In depth knowledge and previous experience working with VMware vSphere 4.0 –
4.1, ESX, vCenter, resource allocation, DRS, HA, VLAN configuration, storage
configuration in a context of data centers, health monitoring
Excellent knowledge of Linux, Solaris
Strong experience in networking – configuration of site-2-site VPN tunnels
and
firewalls, SSL VPN, CISCO ASA, Juniper EX series
Strong knowledge of SAN/NAS – iSCSI, FC, NFS, CIFS.
Previous experience working for 24x7 operational team is a strong plus
Good working knowledge of marketing various disciplines

Must have a `hands-on, can do' attitude
Willing to do heavy lifting where required including individual contribution
to
tasks where resources are in short supply
Motivated and hardworking
