Job Description:

 

The Solaris Kernel team is responsible for delivering the heart and soul of Solaris - the kernel. The team works on various aspects of the kernel such as virtual memory, the scheduler, power management, IO, scalability, performance and much, much more.

 

The position is for an strong manager to lead a team of Solaris kernel engineers. The candidate should possess 

 

  - Proven leadership skills

  - A track record of delivering complex software projects

  - Strong management skills

  - Excellent people skills

  - Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  - Strong analytical skills

  - A good understanding of operating system especially Solaris

  - Good programming skills

  - Good understanding of software development processes
