Applications Engineers to join our Digital Camera Team where we develop
chips as well as software for digital cameras.  Join the elite group of
COACH (Camera On A Chip) Applications engineers to develop new features and
technologies for our embedded solution for digital Cameras.  Zoran is a
leading provider of semiconductors for digital cameras and flat panel
televisions and commands significant share in this dynamic market.  

 

As a Software Applications Engineer with Zoran's Coach Team, you will be
responsible for the development of embedded software on our COACH System on
a Chip, the core of the digital camera system.  You will have the ability to
travel abroad to collaborate with key customers to help drive these accounts
into production. Work includes developing features, planning and
troubleshooting to meet customer's requirements. Work closely with Zoran's
world wide application teams in Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China, US and
engineering in Israel. Become an expert in a large number of technical
areas, including video/audio/image compression, video and image processing;
file system and Wi-Fi communication protocols (serial USB).

 

SR SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS ENGINEER 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements
and/or new products used in Digital Camera. Code will be used in real still
and video security digital cameras. Using current programming language and
technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and
debugging of applications. Interact with customers to define system
requirements and make necessary modifications. 

*	Use C/C++ programming language, software tools and software
development environments to code, modify and maintain programs 
*	Maintain and build upon complex product functionality and
architecture knowledge 
*	Research, organize and disseminate detailed information about
technology use and implementation. 
*	Review Marketing and Development documents to estimate development
effort, skills and resources and time needed for project completion 
*	Investigate assigned product issues, analyze layers of code for
origin of bugs and recommend solutions to cross-functional team

*	High C/C++ coding and design skills 
*	Expert analytical and debugging skills    
*	Problem solving expert on a wide range of issues in imaginative as
well as practical ways.  
*	Expertise to easily dive into existing code and infrastructure

EXPERIENCE

*	High C/ C++ programming language 
*	Work with RTOS on kernel level 
*	Expert understanding of assembly language 
*	Embedded Environment 
*	MIPS Assembly 
*	Image Processing 
*	CCD/CMOS Sensor a plus 
*	Real time embedded system programs 

*	MIPS, Image Compression, File System, USB- H.264, MPEG, Audio 

 

EDUCATION

*	BSCS, BSEE or BACS 
*	Imaging or Digital Camera experience a plus 
*	3-8 years in embedded software and mobile application
development/debugging role
