Engineer in Test - Level 3 

A Cross Platform and Interop System team in Redmond, Washington is
looking for a strong, motivated and results-oriented Quality Engineer
with experience in testing products on various Windows and UNIX
platforms including Solaris, Linux etc. This is a challenging and key
role in the Quality management of their products. The Engineer should be
a self starter, quality-centric and customer focused, with the ability
to work independently and as part of a team. They are looking for
someone with experience in code development in a client-server
environment, writing test plans and test cases, executing manual and
automated test, in-depth analysis of code failures and someone who has
the ability to articulate and document technical issues with a thorough
understanding of testing methodologies. 

Responsibilities: 

*	Maintaining, executing and evolving current manual and
automation test suites 
*	Working closely with peer development teams 
*	Investigating methods to improve product and process quality 
*	Some knowledge of system administration is expected to carry out
the duties of the position

Required Skills for this Software Design Engineer in Test - Level 3
includes the following: 

*	You Must Have One or More of the Following Required Management
Apps to be considered for this position: HP Openview, IBM Tivoli, BMC
Remedy 
*	Minimum of 5 years as a Quality/Test Engineer (including
defining and coding Test Cases) 
*	Strong background in Win32 C++ development 
*	Proficiency with C# .NET 
*	Collaborative and team oriented approach to work 
*	Familiar with Visual Studio Team System 
*	Experience with non-Windows OSs (Solaris, HPUX, AIX, Linux) 
*	Shell scripting 
*	Understanding of OS and System management concepts 
*	Passion for and strong customer and partner empathy 
*	Systems administration experience, preferably in a heterogeneous
environment 
*	Excellent verbal and writing communication abilities

Additional Skills (Nice to Have): 

*	Good knowledge of XML, Windows Messaging and Windows Installer 
*	Experience gained by working in a testing position at the
Software Giant of Redmond, Washington or one of its other locations 
*	Excellent object oriented design and software development skills

*	Experience with gcc/gdb 
*	Performance and Stress testing tools 
*	Encryption testing 
*	Familiarity with WSMAN and CIM standards 
*	Familiarity with Microsoft's Hyper-V
