Title: Video Streaming Application Engineer (Embedded Linux)
 
Work involves video packets manipulation i.e. transcoding, monitoring, shaping, streaming - as part of value add applications, in an enterprise class networking box. Development will be carried out on an embedded Linux based platform. 
 
This position is for seasoned embedded developers with deep knowledge of standard and high-Def video in an IP environment. Good knowledge of some of the following is required: Video codecs, video transport mechanisms and protocols, video monitoring, video streaming and caching etc. 

Appropriate engineers for this position will have 6-8 years related work experience, and passion for working with Video "in motion".

Project Duration: 9months 
Contract Basis: 1099, Corp-to-Corp, W2 hourly

MUST HAVE current skills: 
* Strong C development - 5+ yrs 
* Working in Linux (embedded) environment - 4+ yrs 
* Working with video transcoding, monitoring, streaming type applications - 3 yrs

GOOD to HAVE skills: 
- VMWare Hyperwiser
- H.264, MPEG-4 
- Microsoft Silverlight / Adobe Flash streaming
