Title: Software Build Engineer

Skills: GNU Make CVS Perl
Location: San Jose, CA or Vancouver,canada

Pay rate: market
Length: 9 months

Job description:

As a Software Build Engineer you will:

Develop and maintain the software build, compilation and packaging

tools

needed to support upcoming development projects (hardware platforms and
software modules).

The work will involve working with other build engineers and the
software developers to set up the build, make and source code management
environments for a large scale software development project using a mix
of infrastructure development as well as integrating existing tools
(Primarily GNU Make, CVS and Perl).

Job Requirements

* Considerable experience with software build infrastructure,
particularly with GNU Make.
* Strong Perl scripting skills.
* Experience developing top level software packaging and installation
tools/scripts.
* Experience setting up and using build management tools eg.

Tinderbox

* Experience setting up source code control for large software
development projects.
* Experience using cvs
* Knowledge of Unix-based systems, scripting, and some systems
administration.
* The ability to work independently as well as part of a cross
functional team committed to delivering world class IP infrastructure
products.
