Senior QA Engineer

Santa Clara, CA

 

Job Summary:

 

As a Senior QA Engineer you will be responsible for working closely with
development during the design and implementation of new features. This
includes test leadership, test scoping, design, implementation,
execution, debugging, and automation. You will work closely with
developers in design reviews and help ship products with high quality.

 

Responsibilities:

 

*	Participate in requirements and design reviews
*	Define test strategy for new product features
*	Write detailed test plans for assigned features to include
manual and automated tests
*	Execute test plan and report on progress against plan
*	Review Product Requirement documents and Engineering Functional
Specifications, define test strategy, and scope test effort as part of
regular planning cycle

 

Requirements:

 

*	Bachelors Degree in computer engineering or related field 
*	6 or more years of experience in testing software or networking
products
*	Experience in leading testing and releasing software products
*	Experience in leading testing effort on medium to large projects
*	Broad technical knowledge including:

	*	System administration in Linux or MS environments
	*	Test automation and harness design
	*	Black Box and System Test methodologies.
	*	Software development lifecycle
	*	Good software engineering practices
	*	Basic software design principles
	*	Experience in DNS/DHCP protocols a plus

*	Proficiency in one of the following:

	*	Perl or other scripting languages
	*	C++ / Java

*	Strong interpersonal and communication skills; must be an
excellent team-player
*	Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Willingness to
stretch and achieve aggressive milestones.
