I am looking for a Security Engineer with a Linux/Unix admin background.
Someone with a depth of knowledge that can evaluate what is needed to keep
enterprise applications secure at all of the network layers. The position is
in East Bay along the 580/680 corridor. Please see job description below.


Intrigued on how to find ways to make enterprise applications secure? Do you
have a strong technical background?  We are looking for strong technical
people with experience in enterprise applications to join our team of 5
people. We work together with the application developers to determine what
level of security measures to apply at each network layer. We deliver
efficient but secure applications across our enterprise. Sample projects
include evaluating and recommending identity management solutions,
encryption solutions, event monitoring, etc.  This position is enterprise
software focused. Although we will also review resumes with a strong network
security background.  
This is a good fit for someone who has strong Linux/ unix administration
experience and security expertise who is interested in applying his/her
knowledge to make enterprise applications more secure. 


Requirements: 
*	BS/MS in Computer Science/Information Security or BS/MS and relevant
experience in Information Security 
*	8+ years experience in Information Technology with background in
information security. (CISSP / CISA, or similar is preferred) 
*	Demonstrated working knowledge and proficiency in networking,
operating systems, databases, protocols, security technologies, and risk
assessment 
*	Excellent working knowledge of application security and identity
management solutions 
*	Excellent working knowledge of security tools and solutions that
address event monitoring, threat & vulnerability management, log management,
intrusion detection, and configuration / compliance management
