We are looking for a mid-senior Linux Systems Administrator to help us
ensure the health, uptime and performance of our Web 2.0 services.
Hopefully, this individual will also become our resident Drupal and PHP
resource. The selected individual must have extensive Linux administration
skills and experience with open source software. Significant knowledge of
Apache-Tomcat, MySQL and scripting is required. This position involves
support of cutting edge technologies. Excellent compensation package;
commensurate with experience. 

 

Responsibilities include:

1. Maintaining site servers and hosted web applications, ensuring uptime and
site responsiveness.

2. Diagnose and resolve application, OS, network and other failures and
engage internal specialists and vendors in the respective areas, as
required.

3. Maintaining system and network procedure documentation.

4. Communication of system and network events and root cause analysis after
resolution

5. Provide daily/weekly site operations reports to Operations Management.

6. Configure new Linux servers using automated deployment tools.

7. Install/integrate software modules and automate operations through
appropriate scripting.
