Senior Software Engineer
Redback Networks is seeking a Software Design Engineer to join our Driver
and Diagnostic Software Team. As a contributing member of this team, you
will help design, implement and enhance the Redback broadband aggregation
products. Candidate will: Design and implement features in the SmartEdge
Operating Systems and other System software components. Provide input to
project schedules. Analyze defect reports, provide patches when required and
write technical specifications.

This position requires strong knowledge of Operating Systems, drivers,
embedded software, and networking. The candidate should have a demonstrated
experience with state of the art RISC processors coupled with a strong
background in networking, operating systems fundamentals and expertise in
VxWorks, NetBSD or Linux. Familiarity with multiprocessor architecture is a
plus. A minimum of 5+ years of embedded software development experience and
BS/MS in a related discipline is required. 
A general understanding of ISO standards related to both Quality Management
Systems (QMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
