Job Description:
 
Wind River Systems has an exciting opportunity for an Embedded Linux
Developer. Embedded Linux solutions play an increasing important role
in today's embedded device market. In a company with significant
growth and the leader in embedded Linux platforms, you will be part of
a team creating complete solutions for the embedded market using Linux
as development host and target platform.

Responsibilities:

- Design, integrate and implement enhancements to the runtime part of
our Linux platforms
- Track, evaluate and integrate development from the open source community
- Share and evangelize Linux and Open Source knowledge internally and
externally
- Linux board support package development

Job Requirements:
- 5+ years of development experience
- 3+ years of Linux in a development environment, especially embedded
systems
- Have successfully worked on the delivery and deployment of Linux
based product(s) to the market
- Experience with board support development on multiple architectures
especially PPC, X86, MIPS or ARM
- Strong familiarity with working with the Open Source Community
- Strong practical C experience, shell scripting and perl
- Proven ability to work across many technology areas, act proactively
and own a problem
- Experience with package and distribution creation
- Strong problem analysis skills 
- Experience with RTCore (Wind River Real Time Core) a plus 
- Understanding of either Linux security models, carrier-grade Linux
or mobile-platform Linux a plus
- BSCS or equivalent
