Job Position: Packet Processing Engineer
We are seeking a talented individual to develop systems software for a
Linux-based security appliance. The candidate will be designing and
developing high performance kernel module software that can manage and
enforce user access through an appliance processing at gigabit line
speed. The software needs to scale from small embedded for Small and
Medium business size to multi-processor platforms that can handle
multiple gigabits of network traffic for an enterprise business size.
Required Skills:
* A minimum of 10 years of developing software for networking with
some years working on Linux/Unix-based system software and a bachelor's
or higher degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or related
fields
* Working experience on the design and implementation of a packet
processing engine for a networking security appliance such as a firewall
or proxy-firewall.
* Strong experience with TCP/IP networking protocols and
installations; must be able to debug transport data in large scale
network deployments.
* Excellent C and multi-threaded programming skills
* Developed code running inside Linux kernels versions 2.4.x and
2.6.x
* Experience in maintaining an enterprise-class networking appliance
product.
* Knowledge of algorithms used in generating digital signatures such
as MD5, and SHA.
* Collaborative thinker and team player
Preferred Skills:
* Developing software for a TCP/IP and Crypto Offloading Engines
* Developing device driver for Linux systems
* Optimizing user and kernel space embedded software components
* Working experience with HA 10 Gigabit networking appliance.
