Lead Quality Assurance Engineer


Responsibilities


*	Support enterprise customers in installing, deploying, configuring, and maintaining of Hyperic's products 
*	Coordinate with customers and developers to report issues/requests and be responsible for shepherding the issue/request through the life-cycle 
*	Work closely with the development team to establish release schedule, process, and criteria 
*	Participate in pre-sale demonstration and answer questions 
*	Occasionally travel to customer sites to perform services 
*	Document product features on company's wiki 
*	Active participation on Hyperic's user forums 


Qualifications


*	At least 3 years of professional work experience in either professional services or quality assurance 
*	Must be comfortable with working in all operating system environments: Windows, Linux, Solaris, and HPUX 
*	Experience deploying applications into production environments 
*	Must have ability to install and configure complex enterprise software, such as Weblogic, Websphere, Apache, etc. 
*	Knowledge of Java/J2EE, Web Application Servers, PostgreSQL/Oracle databases, and scripting languages (UNIX Shell, Perl, ANT, etc.) 
*	Strong IT administration background is a plus 
*	Past or present participation in open-source development is a plus 
*	Must be creative, self-motivated, independent, and a good communicator
