GOT PYTHON? ...Perl would do too!!!!

 

My client stands alone in its focus on developing the "perfect search
engine," defined as something that "understands exactly what you mean
and gives you back exactly what you want.  "Do you like to push the
existing limits of technology? Are you into the cutting edge? 

Well, read on!!!!

Currently, they're seeking promising Linux System Administrators to work
long term contracts (beginning with 3 mo's then a peer review is
performed to extend another six months, etc.) supporting their growing
office and server infrastructure. Candidates need to have VERY strong
scripting experience, create from scratch in Perl, Python, bash. I would
love to see some scripting GURU's......Python is preferred of course and
Perl second...and so forth.

 

Client requests that candidates need to have some type of SW Development
in their background as well.

 

Working in a demanding and fast-paced environment, you will need
exceptional technical acuity and individual initiative combined with a
customer focused approach.   The environment is one that runs without a
hierarchy and those who are independent thinkers are ideal.  The
organization is quite large, but they are still run like a start up and
operate in a project style environment, rather than a managerial style
approach.  Those that thrive in such an environment  and are interested
in constantly learning new technology are encouraged to apply.

 

Once on contract here, you will learn HOT new technologies that will
take you farther in your career and set you apart from the rest.

 

Prefer candidates who have:

 

*	done some work as a software developer in the past
*	have at least three years scripting experience (Python or Perl
preferred)
*	worked on open-source projects.
*	have experience with Web technologies.
*	have degrees in CS
