Senior Network Software Engineer
Sunnyvale, California
Description
We are looking for senior network software engineers to develop embedded
communication and wireless products. Design, develop, enhance and
maintain software/firmware for wireless embedded products in an Unix or
Linux environment. Write, port and maintain firmware and diagnostics for
embedded controller designs. Follow standard design and implementation
processes and procedures. Develop well-defined software modules. Perform
integration, testing, and related release documentation. Contribute to
the software and processor architecture for next-generation chips and
software modules.
Responsibilities
*	Develop networking software for our Internet processor family in
C and assembly. 
*	Develop 802.11 wireless device drivers for embedded products. 
*	Become expert in emerging network technologies, evaluate
feasibility, and develop project schedules. 
*	Act as a technical lead for a project-focused team. 
*	Mentor junior engineers. 
Requirements
*	BS degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer science,
computer engineering, or equivalent, with 5+ years experience. 
*	Solid experience programming embedded systems close to the
hardware. 
*	Strong understanding of data communication, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, and
the Internet. 
*	802.11 wireless driver development experience. 
*	Expert programmer in C/C++ and assembly language in an Unix or
Linux environment. 
*	Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 
Desired Experience
*	Familiar developing software for resource-constrained embedded
systems, especially real-time embedded operating systems. 
*	Experience implementing Internet protocols. 
*	Experience implementing physical interfaces or drivers for
Ethernet, USB, Bluetooth, ATM, or DSL. 
*	802.11e / 802.11n / WMM implementation experience. 
*	Object-oriented analysis and design.
