Job Description
2Wire is seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to join the team developing the MediaPortal Set-Top box, which delivers television, video-on-demand, music, and photos to your TV. This position’s focus will be in developing 2Wire’s media platform for the next generation of products. Responsibilities will include software design, development and integration to provide platform level support for new features.

Qualifications
This position involves developing new features on 2Wire’s SMS application server to support new mediaportal functionality: video-on-demand, new web services, advertising, and other features. 

Skills are: 

  2+years of related experience required. 

  4+ years of relevant software development experience. 

  2+ years of experience on 24/7 enterprise-scale systems. 

  Strong experience with multi-threaded Java J2EE application development and deployment and its associated technologies (XML, XML schema, Struts, JSP, SOAP). 

  Solid experience with external third party integration (web services, APIs). 

  Experience with SQL, data modeling, Unix / Linux experience. 

  Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  Ability to work with internal and external customers to gather requirements. 

Education

  BS Computer Science required.
