The Opportunity: Senior UNIX/Network Administrator 

Locations: New York, London, Silicon Valley

Extraordinarily intelligent and resourceful individual sought to provide UNIX and networking support for the Client, a highly successful investment and technology development firm.  The person will work with The Client's highly-skilled 35-person IT systems staff and will be responsible for: 

" Solaris and Linux related research projects
o Helping architect new technology for our fast-paced, high-growth environment
o Management and administration of over 1000 Linux and UNIX servers
o Management and administration of our state of the art global production network
" The ideal candidate will have:
o A computer science or engineering degree
o Extensive knowledge of multiple UNIX operating systems
o Solid understanding of  the IGP and EGP routing protocols
o Strong programming and scripting ability
o Excellent verbal and written skills

The Client is seeking an unusually well-qualified candidate, and is prepared to offer a highly attractive compensation package.  While we strongly prefer candidates with both UNIX and networking expertise, exceptional candidates with only UNIX experience will also be considered.
