An ideal candidate might have the following background (in order of
importance): 

- Ability to explain technical concepts
- Writing skills
- Passion to share his/her expertise with large community through user
forums, blogging and other Internet technologies
- 2-3 years in software development or UNIX/Linux system administration
- Understanding of Open Source issues
- Experience in storage software especially backup and archiving
