We're looking for a highly skilled candidate to join our team as a Systems
Administrator. Our ideal candidate is a quick learner driven by the goals of
innovation and choice on the Web, excited by change, unbothered by
ambiguity, motivated by personal excellence, happy when doing many things
and highly dedicated to the success of the project.  The Systems
Administrator will provide hands-on technical engineering to systematically
think about how best manage a world-class server infrastructure to support
our products.

Responsibilities:

* Maintenance of our core server infrastructure, including network and
physical layout, design, and the integration required to scale our web
services from tens to hundreds of millions of clients
* Support and maintenance of our RedHat Linux server environment including
deployment, patch management, and troubleshooting
* Maintenance of web infrastructure technologies such as clustering, LVS,
load-balancing, proxies and caching mechanisms
* Design and development of extensible, automated and web-based tools to
scale network and server operations efficiently
* General troubleshooting and gremlin bashing to keep our mission critical
infrastructure up and running smoothly 
* Participation in our 24x7 "on call" system for production services

Requirements:

* 2+ years experience supporting a production RedHat Linux server
environment
* Experience supporting public-facing mission-critical LAMP infrastructure 
* Ability to design and develop extensible automated tools using Perl, PHP
and shell scripts
* Affinity for open environments that encourage education, cooperation and
teamwork
* Exceptional communication, organization and leadership skills

Desirable:
   
* Experience with Nagios, LVS, Apache and other open-source solutions
* CVS/build experience
* Previous work on open source tools or environments
