This is a position with great opportunity to advance skills and have
exposure to cutting edge technologies. The ideal candidate must possess an
above-average proficiency in computer use and problem-analysis skills. You
must have excellent written and verbal communication abilities. You must
have the ability to troubleshoot operating system and network issues. You
must be willing to work with a broad range of personalities while
maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. You will have built
servers at home, for fun, and you must possess a strong desire to learn.
During periods of limited support activity, the engineer will be asked to
perform black box testing, bug documentation, status reporting, and working
with development engineers to achieve correctness. The role demands hands-on
testing, methodical problem solving, great verbal and written communication
skills, and teamwork. 

Able to work at a keyboard for extended periods of time. Willing to carry a
24x7 pager. Able to respond to pages from home (i.e., has access to computer
and Internet from home) Experience in MySql or Oracle database
administration Strong customer communication and escalation management
skills BS/CS degree with engineering-related experience required.
Weekday or weekend shift work

Unix administrator:

6+ years corporate IT support
6+ years UNIX/Linux administration
Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, routing, bridging) Strong UNIX
shell scripting Production Datacenter experience is a must

Desired Background

2+ years of call center experience and

2+ years of QA testing experience desirable
