Taos is looking for the "Best of the Best" to be part of our growing IT
Infrastructure team. Please take a look at our website as well at

Here is a brief description of some of the Unix related opportunities we
have open:

 

1.	My Client in San Francisco needs someone who knows Open Source,
Linux systems and applications monitoring,  Cricket and Nagios

 

2.	Solaris, Linux, perl, postfix (Santa Clara; 6months)

 

3.	Linux Sys Admin with good knowledge of Oracle 10g RAC {Client
rolling out financials in July, need linux environment set up by then
(Milpitas; 2 months)}           

 

4.	Linux administrator to support 60 engineers in a start up env.
Virtualization understanding at least theoretically is required for
success, (Palo Alto; 3 months)

 

5.	IBM Shark administrator.  This is IBM's SAN product.  (6 months;
Cupertino)

 

6.	Solaris/Linux/Veritas (Santa Clara; 6 months)

 

7.	My client currently operates its internet commerce site on top
of IBM Websphere Commerce Suite (WCS) 5.6. They used to outsource the
whole environment but are now in the process of  in-sourcing the
development of the commerce environment, though they continue to
outsource the hosting, administration and support of the site with the
same provider.The current project is to develop a phased strategy to
optimize the architecture, infrastructure, configuration, controls and
security around the Internet Commerce site in order to bring current
with service level, security and compliance objectives, and with the
intent to assume hosting, administrative and support responsibility for
the site. (Watsonville, 6 months).

 

8.	Linux OS, kickstart experience for software
engineering/development environment.  Needs to be able to help with OS
configs and 3rd party software packaging (Redwood City; 6 months)

 

9.	Night Shift - 36 hours one week, 48 hours the next, 12 hour
shifts, 7pm to 7am.  Need Unix SA with Websphere or Weblogic or Tomcat
experience.  Also need to understand process, formal policy,
documentation, working with tools like Remedy, HP Openview, Sitescope
(SFO and indefinite)

 

10.	Solaris, EMC SAN, SunOne directory and web server, email
infrastructure with Postfix, Sendmail, HA experience for 10,000 user
based server farm (3 months; SFO)
