Software Configuration Engineer - Assesses and recommend SCM best practices

Mountain View, CA

Responsibilities:

*	Provides expertise in the conception, development, and delivery of
configuration management services. 

*	Provides technical leadership in the development of version controls
and CM tool support. 

*	Provides technical guidance in the creation and implementation of
change control processes. 

*	Provides leadership in the development, implementation, and
maintenance of configuration management tools, branching and development
strategies and in the performance of SCM implementations, SCM configuration
identification and change controls. 

*	Provides technical direction in the creation of configuration
management plans. 

*	Designs standard configuration management reports. 

*	Identifies, analyzes, and resolves complex SCM problems, and
recommendations and implements solutions. 

*	Develop and maintains collaborative relationships with engineering
teams.

Requirements:

*	BS in Computer Science or other technical field. 

*	5+ years experience in software engineering, revision control,
and/or software. 

*	Good knowledge of Unix/Linux. 

*	Good knowledge of Python and Perl. Other languages are a plus. 

*	Expert knowledge of Perforce or expert knowledge of other SCM tools
and a strong understanding of Perforce 

*	Ability to work well with developers, as well as non-engineering
personnel. 

*	Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and
written.
