The Unix/Linux Systems Administrator will be a key member of a small
team of Unix/Linux System administrators jointly responsible for
corporate Unix & Linux infrastructure. The position includes
administration of infrastructure services (DNS, NIS, LDAP, FTP, SMTP,
Postfix/Sendmail, NFS, SAMBA), application & database servers, with an
emphasis on automation and monitoring. The Unix/Linux Systems
Administrator will be a key member of a small team of Unix/Linux System
administrators jointly responsible for corporate Unix & Linux
infrastructure. The position includes administration of infrastructure
services (DNS, NIS, LDAP, FTP, SMTP, Postfix/Sendmail, NFS, SAMBA),
application & database servers, with an emphasis on automation and
monitoring. 

Day to day responsibilities may include:

*	Installation & Configuration of system hardware and software. 
*	Proactive Monitoring of all servers. 
*	Automation of administration tasks. 
*	Data collection and reporting. 
*	Resource and capacity planning. 
*	Security Administration of Unix/Linux Servers. 
*	On Call Production Support.

Qualifications: 

*	Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or
equivalent is required. 
*	3-5 years experience supporting Sun Solaris or SUN OS in a 24x7
production environment. Minimum 2 years experience supporting Linux
environments. 
*	Experience supporting 100+ systems in local and remote locations
essential. 
*	Experience with Unix/Linux services (DNS, NIS, LDAP, FTP, SMTP,
Postfix/Sendmail, NFS, SAMBA). Working knowledge of SNMP, network
protocols, and integration of network and system security with respect
to Unix/Linux required. 
*	Ability to maintain a strong customer focus, manage projects,
document/present solutions and architecture (Visio/PowerPoint), and
communicate solutions and changes mandatory. Strong analytical,
planning, and communication skills are a must. 

Preferences:

*	Linux certifications (RHCE) and training a plus. 
*	Experience with Network Appliance, Veritas (Storage software &
NetBackup), and EMC software and hardware a plus. 
*	Complementary understanding of windows related services a plus.
