Senior Software Engineer - Application Development

Job Description:

They are seeking a full-time, permanent hire. You will be responsible for
the architecture, design, and implementation of advanced security products.
You will be an integral part of the engineering team and will participate in
all aspects of software development. Expect to work in a fast-paced startup
environment.

This is a position that requires a combination of Web application
development and UNIX networking skills. It is NOT a pure Web/Java
programming position.

Job Responsibilities:

. Design and develop new product features
. Enhance existing product capabilities
. Work creatively on architectural improvements and solutions to challenging
technical problems

Job Requirements:

. Strong C/UNIX programming skills.
. Development experience with L4-L7 network protocols (e.g. TCP, HTTP).
. Advanced Web application development skills and experience including
JavaScript and Java applets. 
. Experience in Web content parsing and translation is a plus.
. Expertise in security issues is a plus
. Must be a quick thinker and a creative problem solver. Must be able to
analyze and reverse engineer highly complex Web applications. 
. Strong software design and debugging skills. 
. A self starter - highly motivated, able to contribute and acquire new
technical skills with minimal guidance
. Good verbal and written communication skills

Most qualified applicants will have a minimum of 2-3 years of professional
development experience involving a combination of Web applications and UNIX
networking, as well as knowledge of computer science fundamentals equivalent
to a BS. We will consider very strong applicants with less experience.
