Description:

develops hardware and software for scalable high performance, 
elegantly-designed, leading-edge x64-based systems. We design and 
integrate state-of-the-art, secure, and easy to use system management as 
a core component. Our systems are optimized for the leading Operating 
Systems: Sun Solaris, Linux and Microsoft Windows. We are a dynamic, 
flexible fast-paced group that thrives on unexpected innovation and 
challenging the status quo.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
This position is for a test automation and tools development engineer 
for the x64w systems group. Work involves helping define, architect, and 
implement both an automated test system used to verify both the build 
and the hardware platforms on which it runs, and an automated 
build/release system.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: Team player, candidate must be able to work with 
multiple engineering groups and minimal direction. Knowledge of php, 
databases (html/sql/admin)

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:Strong script (Bash/Perl/Python/ and/or C) skills. 
Linux and/or Windows experience. Detail oriented. Strong verbal and 
written communication skills. A solid understanding of computer systems 
and architecture is required. Basic Makefile and release process 
knowledge/understanding.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE:
A strong background in build and build systems and/or test systems 
(Tetware and C/Java). Direct hands-on knowledge in rpm building, kernel 
builds a big plus.

This position can vary from MTS3, SW or MTS4, SW (Z-07 or Z-09) 
depending on the experience level of the candidate.
