Job Title: Engineer - Technical Support
Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This is a technical program management position 
within the Network Systems Group (NSG)/West x86 platform Sustaining QA 
group. The successful candidate needs to have solid QA, diagnostics, 
project management and leadership experience.

Candidate will participate in product specifications reviews during the 
early NPI phase & follow up activities during the Sustaining phase, 
coordinate and follow up overall QA test results and escalation patches, 
and support NSG Project Program Managers (PPM/EPM). Focal contact for 
Engineering Escalation function within NSG Revenue and Product Group, 
responsible for the Sustaining releases 3 months after products GA.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

Server Application testing, API/GUI testing, Option Cards testing.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Project lead and/or program management experience is a MUST. Experience 
in low level OS primitives (networking, I/O, memory, drivers, etc) 
testing using /Linux/Solaris/Windows with knowledge of system hardware 
is required. Must have knowledge of system hardware architectures and QA 
methodologies. Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, good 
test automation concept, project management and system test experience.

This position may vary between an MTS4, SW or MTS3, SW (Z-09 or Z-07) 
depending on the experience of the candidate.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE:
System level or integration testing on x86 platforms.
Solid work experience under Linux/Solaris/Windows/VMware environment, 
and can comfortably administer system.
Familiar with bug tracking and reporting tool.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 7+ years

MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATION: BS
