in retails stores. Today, over 1,500 grocery stores, convenience stores,
liquor stores and banks are using Pay by Touch services.

 

We have an immediate need for a very senior UNIX/Linux Systems
Administrator, with hands-on implementation experience and who excels in
finding solutions, to deploy and install applications in our production
environment, maintaining the integrity and security of our various
environments and systems, and supporting all applications developed at
Pay By Touch.

 

As a member of IT Operations you will be assisting the Development, and
QA teams in setting up environments to load/stress test different
software applications and make recommendations for enhancements and
installations, conducting system analysis and development, with limited
support and direction from professional staff.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

 

* 5+ years experience with UNIX/Linux systems; operational support,
server administration, implementation and troubleshooting hardware. 

 * Scripting (Bash/Perl)

 * Red Hat Enterprise 2.1 - 4

 * Network boot environments and lights out management operation

 * 24/7 Production environment experience required

 

 

Preferred experience includes:

* Deploying Application Servers such as IBM WebSphere, Weblogic, Jboss,
and maintaining servers for standard Internet services such as DNS, NFS,
DHCP, Samba, and FTP service. 

Proficiency with RedHat Linux; understanding of the administration of
Oracle database servers and secure web servers such as Apache with
mod_ssl; knowledge of Perl. 

 

A good problem solver with strong communication skills and the ability
to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff.

 

This is an operations support position and will require being part of an
oncall rotation approximately every four weeks.
