JOB DESCRIPTION:

This cutting edge client provides software solutions for software companies
and service providers to efficiently deliver and manage their On Demand
Solutions. Work as a part of our client's team as a Sr. UNIX System and
Network Administrator.  

 

-Expertise in Linux or Unix system administration, including configuration,
troubleshooting, and automation

-Will support/maintain Cisco routers, switches & firewalls, web load
balancers in production & corp. office.

-Will install, configure, support & maintain servers in the production,
staging, QA & development environments

-Will provide on-call support for production environment, support product
releases, develop operations plans & deploy new release in staging and
production.  

-Will plan, test & implement new ops infrastructure, following project
process, developing basic proficiency with the app/components to enable
trouble-shooting and support for app.  

-Will perform capacity planning, performance analysis & systems maintenance,
such as backups or log processing

-Will maintain/improve system & network security as needed & follow change
process consistently

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

*5 + years of Linux and or Unix system administration experience. 

*3 + years of Network administration with Cisco Routers & Switches,
Firewalls and Load Balancers.

*Experience in a high-volume or critical production service environment.

*Experience with Application servers such as (Web Sphere/Weblogic/JBoss) and
Apache.

*Experience with Shell and Perl scripting.

*Experience with Databases (Oracle/Postgres/MySQL) is a strong plus.

*install configure and support servers

*Experience with working offshore teams is a plus

*System & network security
