networking solutions. By focusing on solving the problems of wide area

including end-to-end private network solutions, including transport and 
IP transit. Neopolitan capitalizes on advances in fiber optic and 
wireless technologies to increase network connectivity performance and 
coverage. 

We currently have an opening in our Palo Alto, CA office for an 
individual with experience as a Linux System Administrator. 

We are primarily Redhat Linux & CentOS, w/ some Debian, and Solaris in a
heterogeneous networking environment. Some servers and most desktops are
Windows.

Candidate should have at least 2 years experience, good communication
and documentation skills and some combination of the following:

* Unix and windows troubleshooting skills and experience. 
* Scripting and automation, shell, python, perl etc.
* Experience in setting up and maintaining monitoring tools such as 
Nagios, BigBrother, MRTG, OpenNMS etc. 
* Knowledge of configuration of standard network applications such as: 
Apache, Tomcat, Bind, Sendmail, PHP, MySql, Postgresql 
* Knowledge of network authentication and directories such as: LDAP, 
RADIUS, Kerberos, Samba 
* VOIP (Asterisk, SIP)
* Version control (CVS, Subversion) and configuration automation 
(scripts, expect, cfengine) 
* Server hardware specification, assembly, installation and
maintenance. 
* Network Engineering (Cisco, Juniper, Extreme, others) & Application
server programming (ColdFusion, zope, plone, PHP) a plus.

Full-time salary, hourly and part time considered, and compensation all
varies with experience and personal fit.
