Linux Software Engineer, Contractor (Device Drivers)
 
We are looking for a contract engineer with Linux programming experience
for our embedded group.  Qualified candidates should have 0-3 years of
experience developing device drivers using C, Linux, and exposure with
cross platform development. 
 
The essential technical skills are: 
 
    * C experience and knowledge (level of at least 8 on a scale of 1 to
10) 
    * Experience writing standard C code targeted for Linux 
    * Experience writing kernel level device drivers       
    * Debugging hardware 
    * Understanding of component software development 
    * Understanding of the following concepts:       
          o Cross platform development (Windows, Mac, UNIX) 
          o Design for testing
          o Unit testing 
          o Module testing
          o Black and White box testing 
 
 
The following skills are desirable: 
 
          o Client Server system architecture 
          o Software deployment models 
          o Experience with source control software (CVS , Clear Case) 
          o C++ experience and knowledge, a plus
