We have an opportunity for experienced NMS software engineers to join
our team and develop network management software products for monitoring
large networks of distributed systems for storage and video
applications. The candidates will take on key responsibilities to
architect, develop, and deliver high quality user interfaces, agents,
and platform components to enable productive system management, network
management, and storage management. Managed systems include our existing
product line of MediaDirectors, MediaStores, and MediaPorts as well as
large networks of Linux servers in our next generation video storage
products.


The ideal candidates will have experience developing and delivering
manager and/or agent software products that leverage existing standards
and/or open source products. As an early member of a small, growing
team, you will have the opportunity to shape the direction of the
product and contribute significantly in determining the architecture,
tool sets, and feature sets of the management product.

 

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

 

*	Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or Computer
Engineering
*	Five or more years experience, including delivery of successful
commercial products
*	Experience assessing the benefits of various architectures and
technologies 
*	Experience developing web user interfaces and/or Java
applets/applications
*	Experience developing products on Windows and Linux/Unix
*	Solid object-oriented programming skills in C++ and/or Java
(J2SE or J2EE)
*	Experience building products that use several of the following:
Apache, Perl, Tomcat, JBoss, Java Server Pages, Servlets, Dynamic HTML,
CSS, XML, J2SE/J2EE components
*	Experience with network management standards such as SNMP, CIM,
or WBEM
*	Experience with HP OpenView, net-snmp, and/or similar
products/packages
*	Strong communication skills
