Linux Systems Administrators
Position Location:  Redwood City, CA
 
Responsible for 24X7 operations of production and development LINUX servers for EA. The work entails configuration and maintenance of applications like Tomcat, Apache and custom game applications. Part of the 24X7 escalation process for all Unix support issues. Build and configure new Linux Systems like Dell 1750, 2650 and 6650. Application level configuration for products like Tomcat, Apache and custom applications. Ensure configuration and execution of backups through Veritas. Troubleshoot H/W failures in Hitachi and CISCO storage issues. Ensure performance analysis of online production game systems. Good understanding of Load balancers.

Work experience requirements:
- Should have been a Unix Administrator for over 5 years
- Should have worked with Redhat/Linux for 3 years
- Hands on experience for at least 3 years on Tomcat and Apache.
- Should have very good understanding of online gaming environment
- Should have worked for at least 1 year with system imager.
- Familiarity with Oracle databases version 9
- Detail oriented person with excellent interpersonal communication skills. Self-motivated, pleasantly aggressive, high personal ethics.

Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
