This position is contract to full time.  My organization is a consulting
agency and the organization for the position is a worldwide IT company.
 
I am currently searching for a Senior Linux Administrator for a large IT
organization in Milpitas.  This position will consist of 20% support for 2nd
tier Linux administrators and the rest working on Linux issues.  This
company has 14000 UNIX servers of which 4000 are Linux worldwide.  Please
review the below job description and respond to me if you would be
interested in this position.
  8-10 years of Linux Experience in a Heterogeneous environment with solid
understanding of  computing environment concepts; networking/distributed NFS
/NIS/DNS; have knowledge of routing concepts. 

 Solid understanding of a Linux -based operating system; inter-process
communication, devices and what device drivers do, file system concepts etc.


 Solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment
concepts; understands principles of routing, client/server programming, the
design of consistent network-wide file system layouts. 

 Ability to program in an  Perl, a shell), to port C programs from one
administrative language (Tk, platform to another, and to write small C or C#
programs. 

 Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes 

 Strong interpersonal and communications skills; capable of writing
proposals or papers, making presentations to internal users/IT
