Software Engineer, Checkout TV Team

Premier Retail Networks (www.prn.com) is the leading company in the
fast growing retail video and digital signage market.  PRN is seeking
an excellent programmer with cross-platform development expertise.
Our platform uses Linux (Debian and Red Hat Enterprise Server) and
Windows elements and uses a large cross-section of advanced
software technologies, including XML, Web Services (using SOAP and
XML-RPC), SQL (embedded and server based), Web technologies (including
ASP, CGI, javascript), and video (MPEG, Flash).

This position requires substantial experience with C/C++ for Linux and
Windows, including both the Win32 and Cygwin POSIX environments.
Java/J2EE experience is a plus.  You must be comfortable with
debugging and refactoring code as well as writing new code from
scratch.  Excellent analytical and communication skills are mandatory.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

Education and Experience: 

* 5+ years experience in software development (combination of C/C++,
Perl)
* Excellent perl or VBScript skills (not just an occasional script
writer)
* 3+ years experience with XML, including parsing, DTDs and XML Schemas
* Substantial Linux *and* Cygwin experience is mandatory
* Substantial experience developing unit tests and interface 
  documentation for delivered code
* Substantial experience designing and implementing complex
  distributed systems 
* Substantial experience integrating with third-party software 
  and hardware devices
* Experience with using CVS or similar source code control systems
