Job Description:

 

The Internals Functional Verification group is responsible for the following

areas: 

      *     Virtual Machine Monitor 

      *     Kernel  

                  o     Kernel Core 

                  o     Scheduler 

                  o     Memory Management 

      *     Console OS 

                  o     Kernel Changes from the RedHat distribution 

                  o     Kernel Ctl Library 

                  o     SNMP Interface 

      *     Checkpointing (Snapshots, Lightweight Clone, etc.) 

      *     Foundry Object Model and Metadata 

 

OS Kernel QA Engineer (Typical Job Description)

 

            Responsibilities 

            You will be responsible for testing the core kernel for
company's enterprise-class platform. This includes test design,
implementation, execution, debugging and automation. You will work closely
with developers and help ship products with very high quality. 

 

            Requirements 

                  o     Extensive experience in testing of kernel-level
code. 

                  o     3+ years of industry experience in Quality
Assurance, Linux/Unix/Windows is essential 

                  o     3+ years of hands-on experience in C/C++ and Perl is
a must. 

                  o     2+ years of experience in testing OS kernel
sub-systems is a must. Must possess systems administration skills & be able
to trouble shoot and debug. 

                  o     3+ years writing test plans, developing & automating
test cases. 

                  o     Ideal candidate has strong analytical and
communication skills, and is a strong self-starter with attention to detail 

                  o     BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is
required (MS preferred)
