Hello,

My client is looking for a Sr. Linux Kernel Engineer.  They are
private, and located in Santa Clara, CA.

Job Responsibilities:

o	Port Linux to our proprietary hardware.

o	Write BSP, and other low level modules to utilize the unique hardware 
features of our system.

o	Keep abreast with the latest developments in the Linux community. On a 
regular basis, fold in new features, bug fixes, and performance
improvements as needed.

o	Assist in bring-up of new hardware.

o	Write device drivers, user mode utilities, interfaces, as necessary
to assist the rest of the software team

o	Participate in performance improvements of software and hardware.

o	Be the 'go to person' for all kernel related issues. In this role,
you will be called upon to assist the other engineers in their
development


To be successful in this position, you must:

o	Have 5+ years of relevant industry experience.

o	Be intimately familiar with the Linux kernel - how it boots, how it 
initializes the hardware, the VM, etc. Note that only driver
experience is insufficient to be
successful in this role.

o	Be familiar with using hardware/software tools for embedded
development and debug

o	Have good communication skills

o	Have a 'can do' attitude.

o	Must work well in a team.
